Sig® P320 X-Series Sight Set Compatibility

Unfortunately our handgun sight sets are not compatible with any of the Sig Sauer P320 X-Series pistols. This includes the X5, X5 Legion, X-Carry, and X-Compact. This is due to these firearms utilizing a rear sight optic plate where the rear sight is attached to the optic plate, i.e. no rear sight dovetail.

However TRUGLO offers a Fiber-Optic Pro front sight only compatible with the Sig Sauer P320 X5 (includes X5 Legion).

As a part of QC procedure, Taurus occasionally changes the front sight on some of the G2, G2C, and G3 models to match the point of impact of a particular gun. The front sight height we sell is designed around the most common Taurus front sight. The majority of the time, this will fit properly and the point of impact will be correct.

If your individual gun was one that received a different front sight from the Taurus factory, your point of impact may be slightly high or slightly low. In that case, please contact our customer service department at 972-774-0300. In the near future, we will have “non-standard” height Taurus front sights on hand that can be exchanged for your current front sight to achieve a better point of impact.

As we discovered this, the 2020 catalog lists the G2C as an excluded model. This is not the case. The majority of G2C and G3 sights will fit fine, and POI will be correct. Only rare occasions require a different front sight.

Walther® P99 / PPQ Rear Sight Install instructions

TRUGLO ONLY recommends sight installations be performed by a professional gunsmith with appropriate screw-type sight installations tools.

The square dovetails of the Walther rear sight are a unique design.  What we recommend is to check the fit by hand first.  If the rear sights starts nicely, then go right to the sight pusher.

If it the rear sight just barely starts, we suggest to carefully, cautiously file the rear sight dovetail to fit.  Only file the front face and rear face of the square dovetail rails.  DO not file on the top or bottom of the rails.  Using a small flat file, start by just knocking off the black from the front and back of the rails.  Then try installing the rear sight with the pusher tool.  If it still feels tight, push the rear sight off, and file/dress the front and back of the rails again.

You will want the fit, to be a nice press fit, so it does not move by hand, but not so, tight as the slide shaves the dovetail.  Most times, if it’s tight, just knocking off the black finish will make the rear sight fit much better.  Be sure that the sight goes on straight & level.  If the sight starts to twist, or angle, push the sight back a slight amount, check that the sight pusher is adjusted correctly, and start pushing again.

Make sure you are using a good sight pusher (TRUGLO uses the MGW Sight Pro).  If you are trying installation with a hammer and drift it’s easy to ruin a set of sights and installation with impact tools will void the TRUGLO warranty. (attachment)

Use a good Loctite® (no red Loctite®) for the rear set screw and DO NOT overtighten as the slide is very thin under the rear sight.  Maximum torque is 8 inch-lbs. Over tightening the set screw can damage the slide.  You can use green Loctite® (620) on the rails, also, if you are concerned about the sight moving.

Engineering recommends your gunsmith to use the MGW Sight Pro tool and for the front sight screw, Blue or Purple Loctite® for fasteners.

Beretta® PX4 Storm – Handgun Sights

The following are recommended for the Beretta PX4 Storm Full-size and Sub-Compact models.

TFX Pro® TG13BR1PC Orange FOCUS⋅LOCK™ Front sight Only.
TFX® TG13BR1A White FOCUS⋅LOCK™ Front sight Only.
Tritium Pro TG231B1W White FOCUS⋅LOCK™ Front sight, u-notch rear, angled rear for emergency one-hand slide operation.

The sight models detailed are not compatible with the Beretta PX4 Storm Compact model.

If it were physically possible to design a rear sight for the Beretta PX4 that contains our TFX/TFO technology for this pistol, we would make this available. Due to the design features of this firearm, there is not adequate space to incorporate these features without interfering with the operation of the firearm. When the trigger is depressed, the firing pin stop protrudes above the slide and would hit a TFO, TFX, or TFX PRO rear sight.

It is important to use the following sight picture when shooting our TFX/TFO sights, Tritium ONLY and Fiber-Optic ONLY sights. Keep the three dots in alignment, the front/center dot should be centered on the target.  This is considered a “combat-style” sight picture. This will result in a “combat-style” POI, with the POI directly behind the front sight dot at 25 yards.
