Our SIG sights must accommodate several different designs for the top plane of the SIG pistols, these gaps (front and rear) allow a universal SIG pistol fitment for appropriate models. You will see this gap present on all of our SIG handgun sights, including the parts we manufacture specifically for SIGARMS.

We can recommend the following sights for the Smith & Wesson M&P series pistols (including 2.0 Series and newly released S&W M&P M2.0 Compact 3.6″); Full-size, Compact and also including the 9mm, .40 caliber and .45acp Shield (Excluding M&P Shield 9 and .380 EZ models).

Over its course of production, there have been some SD9/40VE models produced where sights may have been fit to the slide. Since our introduction of the M&P pistol sights, we have seen adequate evidence to support the majority of the dovetails on these models are different enough from the M&P dovetails to not recommend these sight for use on the SD9VE and SD40VE models. At this time, we do not offer sights for these SD9/40VE pistols.

The Browning BUCKMARK pistol has different diameters, lengths and colors of fiber-optic material used in its front sights depending on which model Buckmark pistol you own.

 

Which Buckmark pistol do you own:

Buckmark CAMPER  (.078″ diameter fiber optic)

Buckmark PLUS  (.078″ diameter fiber optic)

Buckmark SPORT  (.060″ diameter fiber optic)

Buckmark HUNTER  (.078″ diameter fiber optic)

 

 

Below are instructions for correctly reinstalling fiber-optic material in your sight.

 

Replacement Fiber Installation Instructions:

1. Cut fiber to fit slightly larger than desired sight housing.
2. Using a lighter or soldering iron, heat the fiber at one end until small bead forms  (DO NOT TOUCH FIBER TO FLAME OR IRON)
3. Place the fiber in holder and heat the other end. Fiber should be “locked” into housing by the beads at each end.
