Replacing the Fiber-Optic Insert in Fiber-Optic Only Handgun Sight

These fiber-optic only sights are not designed to have their fiber-optic replaced.

If you do choose replace the fiber, the best installation you can achieve is to create a flare at each end of the sight structure to anchor the fiber in place. When built at TRUGLO, the front sight fiber is flared internally, then flared at the rear end shooter’s side of the sight and a black, epoxy-like material backfills the empty space in the front. This is the best advice we can offer if you are thinking about replacing the .060” diameter front sight fiber.

The above suggestions are NOT APPLICABLE to Tritium Only, Tritium Fiber-Optic, or TFX sight technology.
